Place the toy car on a surface and move it from one position to another.

5. What is the difference between distance and displacement?
Now put the car at the final position and push it back towards the initial position. (It does not need to land at the initial position. It can be before or after it.)
6. What is the distance traveled for this second trip?
7. What was the total displacement for the first and second trips together? Please draw a diagram to illustrate your answer.
